Tuff Slang

We have all been there, and don’t act like you haven’t – one day everything is fine, then the next day there’s something to discuss, then there’s nothing to talk about but something is up, and so on and so forth. Tuff Slang, who will be releasing their self-titled debut a week from today, seem to shrug all of this off in order to deal with it headfirst on their single “Nothing All the Time.”

The track opens with a strumming swagger where you quickly get lost in the sunshine and hooks of southern rock. That strut picks up a bit at the chorus as Tuff Slang attempt to handle how a partnership has swung from always fighting to just ignoring each other. Someone may not want to discuss the problems, but they don’t want to give up on it either. Like we said, we all know what this is about.

Eventually, “Nothing All the Time” kind of throws its hands up before either moving on or accepting some maligned fate. Guess we’ll know more once the album is out. Joey Smith
