Electronic pop duo Ophelia, out of Auckland, NZ, are back with another piece of audible ear candy. “Play With Me” blends the narrative vocals of Alex Louise with Patrick Shanahan's beat-driven production into an ambient song about staying young at heart. And while that could (should) be all fun and games, there’s an underlying tone of melancholia swirling throughout the track, which makes it all the more enjoyable. As the chorus loops towards the end, Miss Louise repeatedly invites us to “Run, jump and play with me, play with me. We are the only free, the only free ones. Run like we’ll never breathe, we’ll never breathe again”... words to live by, if you ask me.

Ophelia's second EP, “Invisible,” will be out on March 13th. AR
