Directed by Greg Davenport, Frightened Rabbit’s “Get Out” is a tale of all consuming, inescapable love. The kind of love that swallows you whole, and dominates your nightmares as well as your dreams. The kind of love that you don’t choose, but that chooses you instead.

There’s obviously something I find fascinating about people who live life on the margins, choosing to occupy their own space, less hostile and more forgiving than that which the rest of us occupy. Here, we are presented again with 2 such characters, their story set against the beautifully bleak backdrop of inner city Kiev. Visuals as powerful as these are made all the more potent when the song itself skirts so thrillingly with greatness, as Frightened Rabbit’s “Get Out” does here. This is one for the ages. Dillon M.
