Directed by RUFFMERCY and from Canadian post – punk rockers Preoccupations, “Disarray” is truly a feast for the senses. With a clever mix of live action and hand – drawn animation in RUFFMERCY’s signature style, the visuals expertly convey the frenetic, restless energy encapsulated in the song, which itself is a thing of raw beauty.

“Disarray” comes off of Preoccupations latest album ‘New Material’, through which the band – formerly and controversially known as Viet Cong – deliver some of their strongest and most consistent work to date (the track “Decompose” is a particular highlight). A change of name can always be a tricky thing for a band to navigate, so it’s good to see Preoccupations letting the music lead the conversation. Be sure to grab a copy of ‘New Material’ if you can.
