HerzogA band named for one of our favourite director’s has really got us rocking out. A bit ironic in nature, given the namesake’s solemn reputation, Herzog bring the rock on this track. It’s upbeat, party rock that encourages you to kick in the doors with your arms around your pals while everyone cheers on your arrival. Similar to Cleveland, OH band peers Cloud Nothings, Herzog knows when to bring the pain and when to dial it back just enough before cranking it right back up. “Mad Men” deals with facing reality and staying true to one’s vision when one knows there are other (more soulless) options available. And while you’re left questioning the future (heck, maybe even your decisions), you get an overwhelming feeling that everything is going to be just fine, so long as you stick to your guns. JS
